A 35-year-old man had light brown longitudinal bands on multiple finger and toe nails. The differential diagnosis of melanonychia includes subungual melanoma, nevus, lentigo, drug side effect, vitamin B12 deficiency, and Laugier-Huntziger syndrome. Also benign pigmented bands, as seen in this patient, are common in darkly pigmented people.
