This sexually active adolescent developed multiple molluscum lesions in the genital area. The image shows a blanched papule immediately after application of 80 percent trichloroacetic acid with a cotton swab. Petroleum jelly around the lesion protects uninvolved skin. The inferior end of a large abdominal surgical scar is visible above the lesion.
