This mass was present at birth on the left anterior thigh of this healthy 15-month-old boy. The mas had ultrasound features of a hemangioma, and there was little change since birth. The dermoscopic findings were typical of hemangiomas which may can exhibit blue-white color that mimics blue-white structures. Dermoscopic images were taken with DermLite II hybrid m by 3Gen and Sony Cybershot DSC-W350 14.1 MP Digital Camera.

Description

Multiple well-circumscribed red and purple lacunae can be observed. They are well-demarcated structures that correspond to the dilated vessels in the upper dermis.
