Comments

A 69-year-old man developed hypertrophic curved toenails likely due in part to his inability to bend to groom his feet. Onychogryphosis occurs when the nail plate becomes hyperkeratotic and hypertrophic secondary to poor grooming and/or poorly fitting footwear. Onychogryphosis can also be associated with impaired peripheral circulation and psoriasis. This condition can cause pain.
