This 17-year-old girl was evaluated for a glistening hemorrhagic red nodule on the buttock. The biopsy findings were typical of a pyogenic granuloma.

Description

There is enhanced proliferation of capillaries in a lobular pattern in the setting of granulation tissue. The surface epithelium is not present.
