This 10-month-old girl developed an intensely pruritic eruption comprised of widely disseminated linear red papules, pustules and excoriations. Her palms and soles were also affected.The rest of the family was also itching and had similar lesions. The child was treated with oral cephalexin 125 mg tid for seven days and a single application of 5 percent permethrin. The other family members were also treated for scabies.
