This particular patient has Muir-Torre syndrome. This sebaceous adenoma is one of many on her and shows a characteristic cystic quality. She also has a sebaceous carcinoma, which contrasts with this lesion in terms of its more malignant cytologic features.

Description

Higher power highlights two cell populations, bland sebocytes within lobules of monomorphic basophilic cells. Peripheral palisading is noted. Mitoses, necrosis, and cytologic atypia are absent.
