This 23-month-old girl developed a generalized painful erythematous eruption with erosions in areas of minor trauma. The eruption was accompanied by decreased appetite and fever. Three days later the erosions began to dry and she developed diffuse hyperpigmentation. Her skin peeled diffusely the following week.
