This 18-year-old boy developed pustules in a tattoo after the tattoo was placed on his arm. Pustules became widespread on his trunk and extremities, and a culutre of pus from the abscess on his back grew Staphylococus aureus. He was treated with incision and debridemant, warm compresses and dicloxacillin 500 mg for 10 days.
