Comments

This adolescent developed asymptomnatic widespread hypopigmented scaly patches on her chest, shoulders, neck and back. Abundant hyphae and spores typical of tinea versicolor were seen on a potassium hydroxide perparation of scale scraped from the edge of several lesions. The eruption was successfully trearted with topical selenium sulfide 2.5 percent lotion.
