A 42-year-old school teacher complainted of a minimally pruritic hypopigmented areas on the back following the pattern the pattern of her blouse for 1 month. She was wearing the traditional saree with blouse and the material was a mixture of cotton and polyester which is the preferred dress material by working women. A potassium hydroxide preparation from the lesions showed the characteristic "bunches of grapes and broken twig appearance" of the fungus Malasseszia furfur. She was treated with fluconazole 150 mg 2 capsule as a single dose at bedtime. Although the scale cleared quickly, repigmentation took 3 months which is the typical course in individuals with dark pigmentation.
