This 8-year-old girl developed a large patch of alopecia with broken hair and scattered scale on the right side of her scalp. Subsequently multiple annular patches appeared on the back and neck. Within 2 months of starting treatment with oral griseofulvin the scaly plaques were gone and hair was regrowing.
