A 25year-old woman was evaluated for neck swelling of 3 months duration associated with fever and night sweats. Examination showed two fuctuant swellings in the upper part of the right side of her neck. Needle aspirate yielded purulent material. Ziehl-Neelsen stain for acid fast bacilli was positive. Panel A shows cervical adenopathy. Panel B shows many acid fast bacilli.
