Comments

This 65-year woman, who was born of nonconsanguineous parents, was noted an to have hyperkeratosis of the hands and feet at birth which gradually progressed resulting in autoamputation of fifth fingers and toes. On examination she had a symmetric keratoderma of the palms and soles extending onto the dorsal aspect of the hands and feet and distal parts of the legs.She pared the soles in some areas to reveal the erythematous base beneath. Nail dystrophy and autoamputation of the fifth toes and fingers was noted bilaterally.
