This patient presented with a papule on his trunk, present since birth. Removal was largely cosmetic. Polythelia (supernumerary nipples) may occur anywhere along the "milk line". They are usually asymptomatic and non-functional, but may be submitted as a seborrheic keratosis or to rule out malignancy.

Description

Histologic sections of skin at low power show regular epidermal acanthosis with focal parakeratosis. Within the dermis, there are numerous short smooth muscle bundles, vessels, and nerves.
