Comments

A 45-year-old man was evaluated for painful psoriasiform lesions of his fingers. On examination he was noted to have acral psoriasisform and erosive lesions on his ears and toes typical of Bazex syndrome (acrokeratosis neoplastica). Palpation of the left cervical area revealed a firm lymph node which is shown on this picture. Ear, nose, and throat examination demonstrated squamous cell carcinoma of the tonsil. Bazex syndrome is most often associated with squamous cell carcinoma of the upper aerodigestive tract.
