Comments

At birth this 4 month old boy had several ulcers on the posterior scalp. He was healthy with an uncomplicated pregnancy, labor and delivery. No forceps of monitor leads were used. Over the first 3 months of life the ulcers healed leaving hairless fibrotic and atrophic plaques. The rest of his physical examination was normal except for a regressing 5 mm hemangioma. Family history was negative for similar lesions on the scalp and body. These findings are typical of uncomplicated aplasic cutis congenita.
