This healthy 13-year-old boy developed an acute erythematous papulosquamous eruption 2 months ago. Most lesions resolved with hyperpigmentation but some subtle active lesions were still present. He was healthy, the lesions were asymptomatic, and the oldest lesions on his back were improving. A skin biopsy showed changes typical of ashy dermatosis.
