Comments

This 38 year old woman developed a hypertrophic scar on her wrist following removal of a dermatofibroma. Several weeks after 0.5 cc of 40 mg/cc triamcinolone acetonide was injected into the scar she developed an area of hypopigmentation and atrophy that subsequently spread proximally in a linear plaque up her forearm. She reported recurrent episodes of bruising within the linear plaque after minor trauma.
