Over several years a pigmented nevus on the neck of this 9 year old girl grew to 1.2 cm X 0.8 cm. The center became elevated and the border developed a darker brown ring. A second slightly atypical nevus also appeared on her upper chest. There was a family history of atypical moles and melanoma.
