Comments

This toddler was evaluated in the emergency room for suspicious flaccid bullae and erosions that appeared acutely on the buttocks. Although abuse was never proven, these findings were typical of a hot water burn, and the child was placed in a carefully supervised setting. The injury healed with hypopigmentation but no textural change in the skin.
