A 52-year-old man accidentally burned his hand and wrist with hot water. He developed large confluent bullae which were drained, and the wound was covered with a hydrocolloid dressing with polyurethane coating. Hydrocolloid dressings are easy to use and can be left in place for several days before gentle removal and cleaning of the wound. Hydrocolloids dressing usually easy to use (dress change every second day) and debride wounds as these case.
