A 7 year old boy was evaluated for a congenital café au lait spot. He was healthy with normal growth and development. He had no other café au lait spots, axillary freckling, or Lisch nodules. There was no family history of neurofibromatosis. His parents were reassured that this was an isolated cutaneous lesion
