A 16 year old girl was evaluated for a 1 week history of worsening, mildly pruritic red papular rash on the torso and extremities. Shortly before the onset of the rash she went on a pre-prom trip to the tanning salon. Five other grils who also payed a visit to the tanning salon on the same day developed a similar rash. Some detective work revealed that the solution used to clean the tanning beds between clients was accidentally used undiluted leading to the contact irritant dermatitis.
