This healthy 3-month-old girl developed tender red subcutaneous nodules on the proximal and middle phalanges on the second, third, fourth, and fifth right fingers following 15 minutes of exposure to subfreezing temperatures. Although she was bundled, she pulled the mitten off of her right hand to suck on her fingers while teething. The nodules became apparent 2 days later and resolved over 2 months.
