High power demonstrated the characteristic large rounded cells with abundant granular, eosinophilic cytoplasm and round to oval slightly basophilic nuclei. This tumor can be distinguished from granular cell tumor by the lack of overlying pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia and negative staining for S-100 protein.

Description

There is a nodular tumor mass with overlying atrophy of the rete ridges.
