An 18 year old adolescent with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome developed an asymptomatic progressive scaly eruption. Scrapings from several sites revealed multiple scabidic mites, fecal material and eggs. He was treated with several courses of ivermectin and 5 percent permethrin cream.
