A 13 month old boy had symmetric 3 mm nodules on the lower abdomen at birth. He picked at the lesions intermittently, but otherwise they seemed to cause no symptoms. Topical anesthetic ointment was placed on the nodules 2 hours before punch biopsies were performed. Histopathology revealed epidermal inclusion cysts.
