A healthy toddler with urticaria pigmentosa developed a Darier sign when the upper half of a leathery golden brown plaque was rubbed with the examing finger. The unchanged lower half of the plaque shows the typical golden brown color and leathery texture typical of urticaria pigmentosa and solitary mastocytoma.
