Comments

The histology of this dermoid cyst is classic while the clinical presentation is somewhat unusual. Dermoid cysts usually are submitted from infants around the eyes. This lesion was from an adult, but was reportedly present for a long time.

Description

There is a unilocular cyst within the dermis. Multiple pilosebaceous units connect with the cyst. The surrounding dermis is mildly fibrotic. The cyst lining is stratified and squamous.
