Comments

This degree of dermal inflammation is rather unusual for EBA, however may be seen in this disorder. Other subepidermal vesiculobullous dermatoses should be excluded both clinically and with immunofluorescence studies.

Description

At higher magnification, there is a clear subepidermal cleft. The underlying dermis has a mild, mixed inflammatory infiltrate comprised of lymphocytes and a few neutrophils and eosinophils.
