Comments

This 9 month old boy began with superficial blisters on the hands, feet, and face in the newborn period. Although he develops lesion in the mouth, they do not interfere with eating and his weight and length continue in the 50th percentile. His generally good course, growth and development and skin biopsy showing an intraepidermal vesicle are typical of generalized epidermolytic epidermolysis bullosa. Although he has not developed scars, he has extensive milia formation and subtle atrophy of the skin on the fingers and toes.
