Comments

A 12 year old girl developed painful purple nodules on the first and second toes on both feet. Some of the nodules were capped by a 2 mm pustule. She denied hot tub or swimming pool exposure. However, she complained of chronic heavy sweating in her tennis shoes. The nodules cleared in 2 days after she began a course of oral cirpofloxacin 500 mg twice daily. A bacterial culture from a pustule grew Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
