Comments

As a newborn this 6-week-old girl developed bullae and erosions in areas subject to trauma including the hands, feet, and diaper area. A few lesions in the mouth did not interfere with feeding. Her father had similar lesions as a newborn and experiences recurrent bullae on his legs and feet. A skin biopsy showed changes consistent with epidermolytic epidermolysis bullosa.
