Comments

This 2 week old infant's delivery was complicated by a brief episode of hypoxia resulting in mild hepatitis, hypoglycemia, and an 11 day nursery intensive care unit admission. Shortly before discharge he developed large confluent subcutaneous red tender nodules and plaques on the upper back, neck and shoulders. His physical examination was otherwise normal, and laboratory studies including calcium were normal. He will be monitored over the next 6 months for appropriate development, weight gain, and serum calcium.
