Comments

During her menstrual period this 15 year old girl developed a tender pustule on her right sole and tenosynovitis of the right shoulder. A cervical culture grew Neissereia gonorrhea, and she was treated with parenteral antibiotics with clearing of the pustule, cervical infection, and joint symtpoms. A paucity of tender cutaneous lesions on the distal extremities associated with cervical infection, tenosynovitis, and pelvic inflammatory disease symptoms is typical of gonococcemia.
