This healthy 4-year-old girl was observed twirling her hair at nap time and bed time resulting a well demarcated patches of hair thinning. She also had dry lusterless hairs of varying lengths giving a moth eaten appearance. The hair loss disappeared a year later when she entered kindergarten.
