This healthy newborn had multiple widespread red edematous, crusted, and eroded papules and plaques. Over the first week all lesions began to heal with dry crusts and a collarette of scale. He had a normal medical examination with no evidence of lynphadenopathy or organomegaly. Biopsy showed a dense infiltrate of histiocytes in the superficial dermis and epidermis.
