Comments

This 12 year old boy developed purpuric papules and patches on the extensor surfaces of his arms and legs, and the tops of his hands and feet. He subsequently complained of colicky abdominal pain and arthralgias. A skin biopsy from a purpuric papule on his leg demonstrated a leukocytoclastic vasculitis and immunofluorescence was positive for IgA around dermal blood vessels.
