Comments

At birth this 30 year old woman's skin was normal. At 6 months of age she began to develop coarse hyperpigmented scaling over the arms and legs with relative sparing of the flexural creases. The ichthyotic scale gradually disseminated. Her father and a sibling have similar but milder skin findings. These findings and family history are most consistent with ichthyosis vulgaris.
