Comments

This healthy 4-year-old boy had a several year history of recurrent itchy red bumps which were most prominent on the legs and to a lesser extent other expose areas of the body. Individual lesions began as pruritic red edematous papules and often developed central vesicles. With scratching most lesions developed thick crusts on a red base and healed over 4-6 weeks with postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. Crusted papulovesicles were often found in linear groupings of 3-4 lesions. He lived in a house with several cats and a dog.
