Comments

This 40-year-old woman, who was born with a collodion membrane, developed generalized scaling with sparing of her flexural creases in the first year of life. Her skin worsened with age and she went on to develop contractures of her fingers and toes, dystrophic nails and ectropion due to taut periocular skin. She also developed nonscarring alopoecia affecting her scalp, eyebrows, and eyelashes. Her mother had a smilar but milder condition, and her siblings were normal.
