This 3 year old girl developed a persistent indurated eroded diaper dermatitis associated with burning and itching. Lesions extended to the perineum and perianal skin and improved somewhat with topical steroids. A punch biopsy showed changes typical of Langerhans histiocytosis. An extensive medical evaluation showed only some mild anemia and neutropenia.
