A 14 month old girl developed a large infiltrated violaceous plaque extending from her lower abdomen to the groin and upper thighs. She had adenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly, anemia, and thrombocytopenia. A punch biopsy obtained from her lower abdomen showed changes typical of Langerhans cell histiocytosis.
