Comments

A 72-year-old man developed an enlarging pigmented patch of his right hand. Malignant melanoma was clinically suspected. A dermoscopy was performed (x20 and x50) and revealed fingerprint-like structures in favor a solar lentigo. A biopsy was performed and pathology confirmed the diagnosis of solar lentigo. Fingerprint-like structures are a dermoscopic sign in favor of two possibles lesions: flat seborrheic keratosis or lentigo.
