A week earlier this 12 year old girl's mother removed a deer tick from hre daughter's shoulder. The next day they noted an itchy red edematous papule, and 4 days later she developed an expanding red plaque. The lymphangitic streak extending into the axilla developed the night before the visit. She was otherwise asymptomatic, and the lesion resolved within 2 days with oral amoxicillin
