Comments

This healthy 9-year-old boy developed recurrent redness and swelling of the cuticles of the thumbnails and median nail dystrophy. He admitted to picking and biting at his thumb nails.

Description

transverse grooves with yellowish-brown discoloration, scale, and fissuring along the middle of the affected nails and edema and erythema of the proximal nail fold
