This healthy 3-month-old girl had a pale red smooth plaque at birth. Over the first 3 weeks red papules developed at the medial border of the plaque, but there was no further growth.

6 X 4 cm partially blanching pale purple plaque with overlying telangiectasias and a few red flat topped papules at the medial border
