These histologic features are typical of pretibial myxedema.

Description

The deep reticular dermis contains mild perivascular lymphocytic infiltrate. Many of the deep dermal collagen fibers are separated from one another. Alcian blue demonstrates increased interstitial mucin within the deep dermis.
