Comments

This 11-day-infant developed expanding bullae with central crusting on her great toes, thumbs, and face. A bacterial culture grew Staphylococcus aureus, and the lesions cleared in 5 days on oral antiStaphylococcal antibiotics and topical bactroban. She fed vigorously and was afebrile with a normal blood count and chemistries. A blood culture was negative.
